Open Garden at Wright Environmental Education Center

The Master Gardeners at Wright Environmental Education Center invite you to their Open Garden on Thursday, January 16 from 9 am until 12 pm. Cris Force, Master Gardener since 2008, will speak on “Building Healthy Soil ” at 9:30 am. Cris and Linda Hlozansky won the top prize in June from the International Master Gardener Association’s annual competition for their experiment in increasing sweet potato yield by improving the soil in which they grew. Cris will apply this knowledge to the forest at Wright Center. Cris was an elementary school guidance counselor for most of her life work and is now a doting grandmother to two little girls.
